Oct 17, 2000 Took the kayak back out to Matanzas Inlet this afternoon. I got out there about 3:30pm with a bucket full of live shrimp. Started off the day poorly by catching a disgusting
slime machine and then I caught a Strange Fish which I have not been able to identify but at least it wasn't a catfish!! Next came a nice little Florida Pompano. I wasn't sure if it was
legal so I let this one go.. turns out it was legal :) Catfish would Almost Be Cute if they weren't such a pain in the butt to deal with. Just as the sun was going down, something Very Big (tm) took my pole and bent it over and cut the line (not snapped it! Cut it!) Would have liked to catch that :) Soon after, the drum started biting.
