REPORT:
Oct 18, 2000 Took an offer from My Friend Rich to do some fishing in his johnboat up by High Bridge. We got there about 4pm with some shrimp. Battled with the bait stealing mangrove snappers for a while. Rich has a term for when you lose your bait to them which I liked.... "I've been Mangroved" he would say. Rich caught the first prize which was this nice little Red Fish. Meanwhile, i'm catching Little Baby Catfish :(. Rich also got this keeper 17 inch trout which I was able to compliment with a non-keeper 13 inch trout. Rich pulled up another Small Red Fish before the evening was out. All of the fish were caught on shrimp. Mullet didn't seem to be doing much for us this evening. I didn't bring home any dinner but at least I got a cast net lesson and I think i'm ready to catch some of my own mullet without giving myself a busted lip like last time :) If you would like to see all of the photos I took on this trip then please visit my web page at
