REPORT:
Fishing restarts on the Munster Blackwater

Following a statement and guidelines issued by the Department of Agriculture on April 30th. and from the Department of the Marine on May 3rd., we are pleased to be able to announce a phased restart to salmon angling here at the Blackwater Lodge on our beats on the Munster Blackwater with immediate effect.
Subject to following a strict code of practice:-

- Anglers from un-infected countries (ie: not including those from the UK, Northern Ireland and Holland) can now fish our beats where this only involves entering agricultural land where no animals have been present for the last 28 days.
This will mean we can fish 6 of our 16 beats up to May 10.

- From May 11th., all permitted anglers can enter agricultural land where there is no direct physical contact with susceptible animals.
This will include anglers from the UK, Northern Ireland and Holland who meet the no-risk criteria and who have followed the designated code of practice.
This will mean we can fish 12 of our beats from May 11 on.
